Starting from humble beginnings with just a single mill in North Carolina, we nurtured ambitious aspirations. Now, spanning more than a century, we operate globally across 30 countries with 48,000 associates dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and marketing our clothing. Our Commitment to the Planet – We Must Protect It

It is ingrained in our DNA to uphold responsibility—towards people, our communities, and the planet. We are committed to enhancing our environmental performance daily, striving to create a more sustainable world for everyone. Our ambitions are substantial, aiming to make a significant impact by pushing ourselves further.

To drive meaningful transformation, we are evaluating our operations internally and throughout our entire value chain, from the initial stages in the cotton fields to how consumers dispose of our products. Unlike many other apparel brands, we oversee a majority (over 70%) of our product and fabric manufacturing. This ownership allows us to take decisive action, swiftly implement management decisions, and think ambitiously. It enables us to amplify our investments and effect substantial change.

Through our Global Environmental Health and Safety (GEHS) initiatives, we enforce guiding policies and actionable protocols that embed environmental responsibility into our global facilities. Continuously improving our environmental performance is integral to our corporate culture, extending beyond cost reduction and risk mitigation to driving our purpose and actions.

In our commitment to catalyze change within the apparel industry, we actively participate in initiatives such as the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (now known as Cascale).

We are What We Wear. It Must Be More Sustainable.

As a company dedicated to providing clothing globally, we recognize our responsibility for the environmental impact across our products’ lifecycle. This drives us to set ambitious sustainability targets.

Our goals include increasing the use of sustainable alternatives for cotton and polyester, our primary materials. Additionally, we are striving to integrate recyclable materials into our single-use plastic packaging, aiming to eliminate non-recyclable or non-compostable packaging by 2025.

Furthermore, we are committed to advancing our industry towards a circular economy model. This means ensuring that the valuable materials and components in our apparel are recycled or remanufactured into new products, thereby reducing our contribution to landfills.
